	My Buddies

The My buddies list helps you keep track of up to 50 Magic Online players you know. To open the My buddies list, click the bar labeled My buddies at the bottom of your screen.

When you first log on to Magic Online, you won't have a My buddies list. It will be created for you when you add the first player to your list.

Adding a Player to the My Buddies List
To add a player to the My buddies list, right-click the player's name and select Add to my buddies. The My buddies window will open with the player's name at the bottom of the list. Players on your My buddies list will have a

next to their names on any screen or window with a player list.

My Buddies Window

The My buddies window shows the players you've added to your list, each player's Composite Magic Online rating, and whether that player is online. The status column will also say if a player is playing a game or trading.

The players' names on the My buddies window will change color depending on what each player is doing. Gray means that player isn't logged on. Black means that player is online. Yellow means that player is in a game and either building a deck or sideboarding. Red means that player's playing a game.

When you're done using the My buddies list, click the minimize button in the upper right corner of the window.

Right-clicking a player's name on the My buddies window gives you the same options as right-clicking a player's name in a room, plus a few more.

You can select Information to see a player's personal information. You can also remove a player from your My buddies list by selecting Remove from my buddies.

If a player's logged on, you can select Private chat, Challenge, or Trade.

If a player's not logged on, you can select Leave message to leave a message. The player will get your message the next time he or she logs on.

Leave a Message

You can leave a message for any player who is on your My buddies list but isn't logged on. Right-click the player's name and select Leave message to open the Buddy Message Window. Type your message and click the OK button.

If someone leaves a message for you, you'll see the Message Window when you log on to Magic Online. You have three choices of what to do with the message:

If you click Respond, you'll open a new Message Window. The player will get the message you send immediately if he or she is logged on. Otherwise, the player will get the message the next time he or she logs on.

If you click Delete, the message will be cleared and you won't see it again.

If you click Ignore, the message will reappear the next time you log on to Magic Online.
